In my opinion Culture Shock has sent shock waves in the world of Drum & Bass leaving his counterparts almost a light year behind. This record will go down in history. If only I owned the vinyl for this one.

Andy C has been dropping the instrumental version of this track for months now. A regular feature in his sets; many fans have been waiting almost an eternity just to discover the name of this track. When Annie Mac premiered this track on her show on BBC 1 the bass world erupted with joy as if World War 2 was re-won all over again by the allies.

Coming to the music, ‘City Lights’ features one of the most emotional filled vocals I have heard on a Drum & Bass track in years. Bryn Christopher has delivered the perfect blend of energetic notes that will make ‘City Lights’ the hottest tune this summer or even go down as a timeless classic. One cannot pin point what makes this track addictive. The staccato, the deep bass synths, that classic disco influenced groove, the drums & the repetitive magnetic vocals; all blend into a perfect well mixed and mastered record.

In my opinion Culture Shock has sent shock waves in the world of Drum & Bass leaving his counterparts almost a light year behind. This record will go down in history. If only I owned the vinyl for this one.
