Review: Fractorious & Dave Wincent – Primed

A heady mix of talent from UK and Hungary, Fractious and Dave Wincent have got
together to release this 2 track album. It was pure delight for my ears. Totally
digging these sounds. Tested both tracks last weekend at a gig and the crowd
seems to love it as much I do.

Primed – Named very aptly, the track has a primal feel to it. Transports one
into the jungles of Ibiza (yep that’s what I call them) coz its got kind of a
vibe which makes you think of sweaty, packed room full of people hypnotically
moving together. The siren draws your attention and the drums are stretched to
the extent that it creates this echoing beat in the back of your mind. The track
is full of effects and yet it feels just right.

Vulture – Of the two tracks, this one is definitely my favourite. With hard
hitting drums and a percussive horn, the track draws one into its twisted
melody. A very tweaked synth steadily transforms the tracks ups and downs. The
artwork might not depict so but it does bring out the animal instinct in you.
Stomper I say
