Review + Stream: Rogier & Stage Van H – Vapourized (Praveen Achary Remix)

Praveen Achary seems to do no wrong, if his latest remix is anything to go by. Known for his clean-cut production, stellar artistry and knowledge of building his sets, this latest work is in a league of its own.

“Classound Recordings”, run by Luis Bondio sees the release of ‘Rogier & Stage Van H’- “Vapourized” remixed by Praveen.

Starting slow, its intro leaves an air of nostalgia of the way music used to gradually build to an all-encompassing climax. Each layer adds more meaning to the other until the harmonies are so entwined, you feel as if this track is like a root to a tree. It glides on a thin line between being just the right amount of sinister and uplifting. Just as one starts to feel comfortable, the breakdown with a dominant male voice leaves you feeling energised and ready to sway with the easy bass-line.

Vocals seem to be overly used in general, but this track has the right balance, with one word leading to a whisper of thoughts that resonate with your soul.

The added bonus of the distorted electric guitar that has been played by Praveen on this track alone is reason to hear this one. The musicality of this tune unleashes a barrage of feelings that leave one feeling satisfied, melodically satiated and wanting to play this tune on repeat. Definitely one to be played loud, whether it be at a festival or in your car, this producer is one to watch!
