By now you should know that we don’t do anything by half standards.
On November 9 we’ll be proving this by not only hosting the official Delhi EP launch for Kini Rao’s ‘Chalk
Farm EP’, but also inviting Berlin’s Mother Perera, frontlady of 3-pice dub/electronica outfit Jahcoozi to
polish off the party in style.
This very special night will be warmed up by Moniker, a DJ that’s quickly gaining a reputation for being
one of the most forward thinking selectors in the country.

Kini Rao is a producer that people around India are getting excited about and rightly so. With four releases
already under her belt on respected labels such as Maktub and Whose Haus, Kini is quickly becoming a
force to be reckoned with and we thought it only fair to invite her up to Delhi, to help launch her sublime
‘Chalk Farm EP’ out for release on Twisted Frequency on October 15.
About Kini Rao
With rhythm in her soul and funk in her attitude, Kini has been steadily creating waves within India’s
house music scene. Starting off as a resident DJ at Poison Hyderabad, Kini has risen through the ranks to
eventually play alongside acts such as dOP, Dale Anderson, Anil Chawla, Djuma Soundsystem, James
Harcourt and Jody Wisternoff.
Doing complete justice to her cheeky self, Kini’s sound can best be described as an ambivalent mélange of
distorted kicks, crispy hats, quirky melodies and huge funky basslines.
About Mother Perera
Few electronic music combos have torn through genres like Berlin based electronica trio, Jahcoozi. At the
forefront of this revolution is Sri-Lankan/British MC Sasha Perera otherwise known as Mother Perera.
Anyone that has witnessed her take to the stage, will know that she’s a performer and DJ whose live
shows come armed with an infectious arsenal of house, bass and techno cuts. The versatility of her music
and sheer energy of her live performances has led her on an unrelenting trail across 5 continents, playing
everything from festivals to clubs, raves, squats, galleries, and even impromtu Boombox parties in a Berlin
underpass. Get to know.
